A Blessed May Day
(or Beltaine to our Celtic Pagan Friends)
to All!

Whether you celebrate the arrival of spring with May baskets, flowers and good wishes to your neighbors, or with joyful dancing and honoring of the season of fertility and abundance with ritual and Magick, here is a wish/prayer/hope for you:

• That the coming of warmer days outside may bring you warmth within you as well
• That the lengthening of days may bring you ever more minutes of awareness of the light of your own heart
• That the unfurling of green leaves all around you remind you of your own growing wisdom (no matter what stage of living or dying your body is currently in)
• That the blossoming of colorful flower petals and their delicate and abundant scent all around us catalyze your own fabulous potential to create and offer your soul's most glorious petals to those you love
• That whatever you dream, think, say or do may be enlivened by the season, and Heartfully experienced by YOU.

No matter whether your time here on Earth is measured in decades, years, months, weeks, hours, minutes or moments, may the coming of May remind you that those moments are precious and that no matter how you may judge your life/time in your physical body, there is wisdom to be harvested from all of it . . .

What have you learned - and do you learn in each moment - from all you have experienced? And if you are so inclined, how might you wish to share that wisdom? Or, how might it serve you to hold it in sacred privacy, close to your own heart?

Action Ideas for Celebrating Beltaine, May Day, or Spring:

• Make a May Basket (for yourself, loved ones, friends or even those you have held as enemies - invite new growth!)
  
• Dance! (in the woods, fields or waterside; in your livingroom with friends or when no one is looking; in your bed with just your fingers; in your mind and heart, as wild and free as you can be!
  
• Have a bonfire in honor of growth and abundance (in fireplace, back yard, legal beach fire: NOTE: please check with your local fire marshal for current permits needed!)
  
• Erect a Maypole and invite your friends (learn about the Maypole Dance's erotic history: CLICK HERE)
  
• Bake sweet things and share with loved ones
  
• Make love in or near your garden - inviting the Earth and Nature Spirits to join in blessing your harvest with much fertile joy and growth
  
• Make prayers or wishes for that which you hope to come to fruition in the remainder of the year
  
• Simply allow yourself to be AWARE of the GROWTH that is possible for you, whether in body, heart, mind or spirit.
  
• Dream up your own way of honoring JOY!
